I started my career almost twenty years ago as a fourth grade teacher at PS 96 in Bronx, NY. I realized I spent a lot of my time figuring out why some of my students were shutting down and learning about the emotional reasons behind their behaviors. I then became a Child Protective Specialist in the South Bronx while going back to school for my Masters in Counseling.
I started my career as a school counselor in 2004 in a High School setting and in 2011 was introduced to the Fort Lee School District, which has now become like home.
I also received my LPC- Licensed Professional Counselor for the state of NJ two years ago and spend much of my time away from school helping individuals and families as a private therapist.
If you get to know me, you know I am a passionate person whose intentions are truly to help.
I love what I do and I practice what I preach. We all are projects in process and I believe, child or adult, there are always opportunities to learn and grow and individuals.
